Sometimes known as the “Castle Rock” because it is constructed of limestone from the Bowling Green, KY. area. This limestone building remains the last of the original Medical College School buildings of the 1800s in Louisville. Left abandoned for ten years in the 1960s, the building and the grand iron staircase were restored by the Greater Louisville Medical Society Foundation in 1977.
The building was purchase by Ronald McDonald House in 2016.
