Lincoln Bank & Trust 1928-1929

This four story building with a limestone facade and French motif originally operated as a bank.  The clock is set into bronze filigree above the bronze doors at the main entrance. The building also boasts a three story limestone archway.  The vestibule houses decorative walls of St. Genevieve marble bordered in black and gold with sliding bronze gates and travertine flooring.  The bank closed its doors in 2005.

Now this building is the Gillespie, Louisville’s elegant event venue.
